Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
The past few days I have been really busy finishing up my presentation and project, and completely forgot to blog! Oops... But anyway thats what I have been doing. Tuesday we had a practice presentation with our lab, it was good to get some feedback!

Thursday (:
Tested a bunch of the interns today for my experiment! It's kinda cool to see the data starting to come together. Also I got more of my presentation done today, getting a little done each day! Excited to test more people tomorrow and next week.
Wednesday (Day 28)
Yesterday I worked more on my project as well as my presentation, and transcribed a bunch of Sue's experiment. Good day!

Day 27 (Tuesday)
Worked on my project as well as my presentation today. The meeting went well today, some people from Sweden were there who knew a lot about eye tracking! They were able to answer all of our questions very well and in a way that was understandable. Good day! Hoping to start testing people on my experiment tomorrow!
Monday :)
Worked on my project a lot today, as well as my presentation. Also we tested two people for Sue's experiment. Looking forward to analyzing the data!

Thursday and Friday
Thursday I made a lot of of progress on my project, and Friday we booked the SMI to do Sue's project, but we couldn't get it working. :(

Wednesday
Tuesday I wasn't able to make it in. Wednesday I worked more on my project and tried to email Andy (who still hasn't emailed me back about helping me). I got a bunch done, working more on it today!
Monday
Monday we went to the observatory, which was awesome. We got to look at Saturn and many stars,it was really cool to see the milky way and the space station. On our way there we ate a sticky lips which was good. Overall it was a long and exhausting day.

Friday! (day 20)
Points were announced today on the challenge! I now have 1 point (a low amount of points is good). Worked on my project again today. Also I need to go through the images with Andy next week so I know which ones not to use.
This is the video we turned in for the challenge:
Thursday :)
Yesterday we worked on our projects a bunch, and finished up the challenge as well. It was a very long day, hoping today goes by faster!

Day Eighteen :)
Worked most the day on my project, and a little bit on the challenge....
This is what resulted from working on the challenge:

Overall a good day!
Day Seventeen
Yesterday we mostly worked on our projects and had a long meeting about chapter three. Not a very exciting day... Although some interesting topics surfaced during the meeting. I spent the rest of the day making the experiments for my project, but it looks like I'm gonna have to change which pictures I'm using after I figure out a better way to create the experiment.

Monday Aka: The Sixteenth Day
Today I read more of the chapter that tomorrow's meeting is on, and had another meeting about our projects. I'd say more about my project, but I wouldn't want to clue in any possible participants! I'm excited to start working on that, but not so excited about the presentation at the end... After I finish collecting data, I will blog more on my project. We ended the day working on our projects, overall a good day.
Day Fourteen And Fifteen (Last Thursday And Friday)
Sorry I didn't post earlier! I been staying with my grandma who has no internet... Anyway Thursday was good, we tested more people on the SMI eye-tracker, and after that I had to leave early for an appointment. Friday the winners of the first challenge were announced! Jarek and I handed ours in second and received two point for that, and we got deductions for doing the bonus part as well. So we currently have zero points! (You want to have the lowest score, like golf!) During the day we worked more with the eye-tracker testing people. At the end of the day Friday, this week's challenge was announced, and hopefully I get a chance to work on it some this week!

Bonus Challenge Completed
Today we worked more with the eye-trackers, and tested a few people on an experiment. We need more test subjects! If anyone would like to participate visit the MVRL lab. I also finished the other part of the challenge today, translating a whole bunch of greek to figure out the other message. Overall, a good day.

Day Twelve :)
Today we worked with the SMI eye-tracker more. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to switch the monitors so Jeff could see what the images looked like on the other screen. After that we brainstormed how we could mount the eye-tracker onto the other monitor, and determined that we needed to calculate the angle between the front of the eye-tracker and the monitor screen. After completing that we went to lunch and discovered that there was a challenge for us on the white board. Each team had to work to solve the problem, which is due by Friday morning for a prize of a flying disc. Luckily Jarek and I have already completed ours! Can't wait to see what next week's challenge will be.
This is the picture we were given as the problem:

Eleventh DAY!
I survived the weekend! Today was good, much better than last Wednesday. We helped out by making some experiments today and also learned how to use photoshop some! Today I've gathered that there are way to many options and buttons on photoshop and there's no possible way to know every single one unless you live and breathe photoshop. More of that tomorrow!
Day Eight... *sirens*
So last Wednesday started out alright, with the Nerf game starting.. but after lunch there was a bit of an accident and my toe got crushed. My dad came and got me and took me to the doctor, its healing now! But of course someone had to call an ambulance and the paramedics came to examine my toe. It was probably the most hectic day yet. I stayed home the next day to let it heal some since I couldn't walk much on it anyway, and Friday I got my wisdom teeth out. Also very painful. So glad that's done with!!

Day Seven, Symposium
We went to the graduate research symposium today and listened to many many presentations about various topics, from palm sensing to analyzing how experts look at medical images. We spent the whole day there, got free lunch, and afterwards we listened to more presentations. Not the most fun day, but I feel like I learned a lot about the different projects going on here at RIT. I have to say the most interesting part was hearing about the company Pictomerty which was co-founded by an alumni of RIT.

The Sixth Day :)
Worked more with the software today, which is now being updated. For lunch we went to global village with the other interns; it made me really want to walk through the fountain thing seeing that it was so hot out today. After lunch we went to the other eye tracking lab to work. Once there we learned more about creating experiments on the SMI, and wrapped up the day reading some articles. Overall a good day!
Day Fiveeee!
On Friday we got to use the SMI eye-tracker more, much more fun than bootcamp, although I do miss it a little.. just a little. It was nice being able to work with the software more and try to figure out what about it wasn't working. And plus... it was Friday!

Day Four, Boot Camp's DONE!
Today was the last day of Boot Camp. Yeah!! We learned about different types of eye-trackers in the presentation today, much more interesting than yesterday although it also contained many eyeballs as well, and plus we got free food again (pizza and dessert!) The four of us took part in Susan's experiment today using the SMI eye-tracker, and hopefully tomorrow we do more with that data.

Day Three, and the Second Day of Boot Camp!
Day two of Boot Camp:
After the morning meeting we headed down to the room we were in yesterday (I heard someone refer to it as the fishbowl?) and we continued the power point / conversation / question-answer session / lecture. Parts of it were interesting, and lets just say it was a long long time to be listening to the same subject, so it got a bit boring towards the end. Hopefully if we continue this tomorrow, (which is the last day of Boot Camp!) its more interesting. When the movie people kicked us out of the room we had our lunch break, followed by training on another eye- tracker; this one was much easier to get a handle on than yesterday's. I'm looking forward to using that one in the future, maybe for our intern project?

Day Two! ...Boot Camp...
Sounds ominous right? Boot Camp. Well it was, much different from our previous day. Anyway, we started off with our morning meeting, and then headed to a presentation room, where we learned all about eyes. Lots about eyes... and a small amount on lenses. :) And not only did we go through part of a slide show... but we took notes as well. For our hard work, we were surprised to be rewarded with.... Pizza! After our lovely lunch, we sorted out some of our numerous computer accounts (do we really need so many??) and headed off to start our training on the mobile eye tracker. It was very interesting to learn about and try out on ourselves. To wrap it up we got a question for "homework" as well as some reading to do. the question was: How thick is the retina? But what retina are we talking about here? A human retina? (approximately .2mm thick by the way) or some other species? Two more days of Boot Camp to go!
This is a picture I found off Google showing the rods and cones contained in the retina:

Kinda cool eh?
Dun Dun Dunnnnn! The First Day as an.... Intern!!
So Monday was the first day... and I have to say it was a pretty awesome first day! We started out the day with a scavenger hunt around campus collecting video evidence of each object, person or thing. Then we made a video of it!! Here it is:
After that we ate pizza, and met with our groups that we'll be working with this summer. I'm with Jeff Pelz, some graduate students (sorry! forgot your names already :/ I'll be working on that!) and fellow interns Mike, Nick, and Olivia. :)
