Monday Aka: The Sixteenth Day
Today I read more of the chapter that tomorrow's meeting is on, and had another meeting about our projects. I'd say more about my project, but I wouldn't want to clue in any possible participants! I'm excited to start working on that, but not so excited about the presentation at the end... After I finish collecting data, I will blog more on my project. We ended the day working on our projects, overall a good day.
Day Fourteen And Fifteen (Last Thursday And Friday)
Sorry I didn't post earlier! I been staying with my grandma who has no internet... Anyway Thursday was good, we tested more people on the SMI eye-tracker, and after that I had to leave early for an appointment. Friday the winners of the first challenge were announced! Jarek and I handed ours in second and received two point for that, and we got deductions for doing the bonus part as well. So we currently have zero points! (You want to have the lowest score, like golf!) During the day we worked more with the eye-tracker testing people. At the end of the day Friday, this week's challenge was announced, and hopefully I get a chance to work on it some this week!

Bonus Challenge Completed
Today we worked more with the eye-trackers, and tested a few people on an experiment. We need more test subjects! If anyone would like to participate visit the MVRL lab. I also finished the other part of the challenge today, translating a whole bunch of greek to figure out the other message. Overall, a good day.

Day Twelve :)
Today we worked with the SMI eye-tracker more. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to switch the monitors so Jeff could see what the images looked like on the other screen. After that we brainstormed how we could mount the eye-tracker onto the other monitor, and determined that we needed to calculate the angle between the front of the eye-tracker and the monitor screen. After completing that we went to lunch and discovered that there was a challenge for us on the white board. Each team had to work to solve the problem, which is due by Friday morning for a prize of a flying disc. Luckily Jarek and I have already completed ours! Can't wait to see what next week's challenge will be.
This is the picture we were given as the problem:

Eleventh DAY!
I survived the weekend! Today was good, much better than last Wednesday. We helped out by making some experiments today and also learned how to use photoshop some! Today I've gathered that there are way to many options and buttons on photoshop and there's no possible way to know every single one unless you live and breathe photoshop. More of that tomorrow!
Day Eight... *sirens*
So last Wednesday started out alright, with the Nerf game starting.. but after lunch there was a bit of an accident and my toe got crushed. My dad came and got me and took me to the doctor, its healing now! But of course someone had to call an ambulance and the paramedics came to examine my toe. It was probably the most hectic day yet. I stayed home the next day to let it heal some since I couldn't walk much on it anyway, and Friday I got my wisdom teeth out. Also very painful. So glad that's done with!!

Day Seven, Symposium
We went to the graduate research symposium today and listened to many many presentations about various topics, from palm sensing to analyzing how experts look at medical images. We spent the whole day there, got free lunch, and afterwards we listened to more presentations. Not the most fun day, but I feel like I learned a lot about the different projects going on here at RIT. I have to say the most interesting part was hearing about the company Pictomerty which was co-founded by an alumni of RIT.
